Was only in there a few times. Neighbor always took him stuff and us kids got a kick out of the visits. Place looked like a tornado went thru it but he knew exactly where stuff was and what he wanted for it. Got a few things one day that a kid has to have (nail apron, my own hammer, and some old gloves. I had 3 or 4 bucks and asked him how much. He checked everything and says "well now that's some good stuff you found there...reckon I'll have to have about 38 cents for it all" Gave him 2 quarters and he said "that'll be just fine" and turned to talk to the neighbor. I was madern he!! over that 12 cents :roll:
