It's not a tractor, but one of my wife's brothers had a Dodge Dakota pickup with an aftermarket remote start on it.
He has a detached garage by his house, and one morning last winter he peeked out the front door and hit the remote start. The next thing he saw was the pickup backing out right through the garage door. Went all the way across the street and stalled against a light pole.
He obviously hadn't shifted all the way through reverse into park, and the aftermarket system wasn't sophisticated enough to have a disconnect in everything but park.
