My high school age son and I went to help a friend fix his baler. He drove and apparently left the truck in neutral when we stopped. Friend lives on a big hilltop, and we had the tractor and baler running and didn't notice the pickup sneaking off until it was too late. Son took after it with me squalling at him to let it go, and he finally gave up because it was outrunning him. It looked like a Dukes of Hazard show. That truck was just hitting the high spots, and finally crashed into a big mulberry tree near the bottom of the hill. I turned back around and started adjusting the bill hook tension and everyone said, "Ain't you gonna go look at it??" I said, "I already know what it looks like." Surprizingly, it didn't bust the radiator, and we tied it between two tractors to get the metal away from the tires. I made him drive it like that for a few weeks before we took it to the bodyshop. He was forced to explain it to everyone that saw it.
