Net neutrality has to do with how the various internet service providers prioritize their traffic. Most internet carriers would like to give certain traffic priority over other traffic. For example, if you are downloading a movie off YouTube versus, say, voice over IP. The carriers, typically telecom companies, say that certain services are bandwidth hogs. The concern from proponents of network neutrality is that carriers can't be trusted (based on their history of anti-competitive behavior) and if allowed, will do everything possible to put their competitors out of business.
