While true it may not give the majority what they need for everyday life, does it instead help to feed them to keep prison costs lower?
Simple no brainer to me, let them grow a lot of their own food or live without the treats they could grow for themselves such a watermelon. I'd a lot rather work to grown and eat fresh food than most canned food without work.
