My carburator does not have a wire to it as there is no fuel solonoid. I did not pull the jets out of the carb, but if they are clogged would it even start at all as it runs great for seconds. In the past I have also had the intermittent problem with the key switch, it will do nothing wait 10 minutes and it will work. Im wandering what the circuit board on the key switch does. Does this board have anything to do with shutdowns? I dont believe i have a spark problem as when I try to crank it back up I have verified spark. Thanks for all the replies. I want to think this is a fuel related problem but the 5 second shutting down does not seem to indicate this.
