I recently bought a1949/1950 B John deere with a 6v system.The charging sytem does'nt work. The fellow I bought the tractor from replaced the voltage regulator but I don't think he had it wired correctly.He unhooked the wire coming from the amp gauge to regulator after the wire and amp gauge burn't up . Sq I would like to find out the correct wiring before I replace more parts.Maybe invest in a 12v Alternator conversion. Thanks, Sam
