JMHO, another product that works excellent for driveways is RAP (reclaimed asphalt paving)!
Edit: This is asphalt paving that is ground off streets, highways, etc with a big grinding machine and loaded into trucks for disposal or re-distribution. It is about the consistancy of crushed gravel, but packs much better. May or may not be available in your area.
