It apears to me that you seam to have overlooked the sacrifices that those in the armed forces have endured. We are protected by an all volunteer military: the draft has been gone for a long time.There is hardly a week that goes by that the local news doesn't report the death of a young man or gal killed in the line of duty. I would say that these young people are very comitted to the future if this country, and there are a lot of them. I do agree with you that there are also some real skum bags out there too.
