Just my 2 cents worth from many decades of watching people desire to be part of a "GROUP" where their standing in that group is everything in their life at that time... Motor cycle groups desplay themselves as a group you best not tangle with, right? You have 4 against one and your the "one" and they are the group. Not easy for any one of the 4 to bow down to you and loose respect from the other 3. Ya gotta split them up... after you determine which is the leader and second in command etc.. Divide them up and control will be a lot easier. Just my quick guess from what you wrote. In the Army I had 4 guys that had a real close friendship and the leader was screwing up big time just to show his "power" against me and the Army in general. I decided to divide them up by telling all 4 together, at one time, that if the leader screwed up I would "punish" one of the other 3 quickly with extra duty and NOT the leader who had done the screwup. After the leader saw his folowers getting creamed with extra dirty duty because of his actions, he quickly shaped up. The other 3 also lost a lot of their respect for the leader... I did not have much trouble with all 4 after that. I divided them up was the key... The leader was not so great anymore.. .ag
