I own 4 ZB600's. We use them as "pony" engines on our herbicide applicator trucks. The manuals are still available from Kubota. Sometimes you can find them on Ebay. I keep ZB600 in my automatic searches.
The ZB600 needs an external fuel pump. I don't know about the internal workings of the fuel injection system.
They have been pretty good engines. We like them because they don't take up a lot of room under the truck deck.
The integral radiators are a sore spot. we used to have to replace radiators all the time, so we put on an external radiator. Yours may not be set up that way.
Kubota no longer makes the ZB600 for sales in the US. I was told that emissions requirements caused them to be dropped. Parts are still readily available.
