Armand: Thanks so much for the help - We are in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California and we have a shop working on the cylinder now - there is a lot of head shaking going on but they continue to try different methods of getting the cap off without further damage to the ram - we will just have to see what gives first the cap or the rest of the ram and then we will be able to take the next step - thanks again for your help - it looks like Marloweg has access to a ram or two so there may be a path out of these woods yet - I'll let you know
