I've tried them in 5/6 different applications and haven't had very good long term luck with them in some case they just don't work well and when they did work the internal battery went dead thus they are done other times they are inaccurate. I've found buying a $300.00 tach at Wal-Mart or a Farm supply store is a better deal they work don't have an internal battery.
