The 856 was made from '67 to '72. that's consummate "late 60's, early 70's tractor."
I would have to say that the top 2 would be the IH 856 and JD 4020, not necessarily in that order, but perhaps. Those two tractors had the lion's share of the market, and you see a LOT of them still in operation today.
