you put a notch in the post for that 2x4 to set in, do one at 90* from first and in conditions like that put one pair at bottom of post about 8-10" from bottom and a second pair about 2' above and set those 2x4 at 45* from first set. In that ground I would want the 2by to be at least 3 feet long.
