I cut the sidewall near the edge of the tread with a sharp carpet knife. Easy to pull the knife all around the tire where the wall is thin. Then I use the outer tread ring for feeders for the horses and cattle. If you cut the tread off like that, maybe you can find someone with livestock that wants them. Two of them stacked on top of eachother and bolted together makes a nice feeder that maybe you could sell for a few bucks. the rest of the sidewall I cut back with the carpet knife as close to the steel bands in the bead as possible, then use a air cutoff wheel to cut the bands.
