When I was a bachelor out on the west coast, I had a friend stationed at nearby MCAS El Toro. While he was deployed overseas, his wife called me several times and invited me to come over and visit. I declined each time. After my friend returned home, he found that she had "gone crazy" during his absence and kept a very busy social calendar. I told him about her calls to me and he shrugged his shoulders and said "You should have taken her up on the offer. Everybody else did!" By the way, they got past this rocky point in their marriage and have now been married over twenty years.
