I personally never worry about gasoline with or without ethanol when it sits over winter. It is in the warm months that you have a problem from evaporation. I have seen engines, this was long before ethanol came on the market, that sat out in the hot sun for one month and carburetor looked like tar babies inside. I always treat my snow blower gasoline , as it sits over summer, never treat the outboard or lawnmowers that sit over winter. Ethanol will draw moisture though and that is a different problem and I don't use it on my two cycle engines.
