The health care cost argument might actually mean something if it weren"t for the fact that it is only applied to non politically correct vices, such as tobacco use. So called ""Gays"" can run around performing their self destructive practices and the American taxpayer is forced to foot that bill and any politician that questions those costs is vilified, it takes a lot longer to die of AIDS than it does lung cancer and the patient is on expensive medications the whole time. Most crack heads and meth heads run through the system time after time and are heralded for their ''courage to confront their addictions'', we pay the majority of these bills, complain about it and you are labeled a racist. I smoked for years and quit 2 years ago, its too much trouble to smoke anymore. I agree with you on the second hand smoke angle, I wish I had never smoked around my family and did stop doing so several years before I finally quit. I don"t believe every thing blamed on second hand smoke because if it were all true then everyone born between the 30"s and 70"s ought to be dead by now.
