Try adjusting the cable that attaches the adjutment roll to the ratchet that adjusts it so that the lower part of the roll is about 3/4 of a turn tighter than the top of the roll. This helps to keep the bottom tighter than the top and pushes the drapes up a bit. I had problems with mine and tried everything I could think of, finally did this to it and was able to put up 50 acres with it this year.
