No the drive system is different from the gear drives and the hydros. The motor sets sideways in the gear drives and the mower deck is driven off of the right side. The hydros motor sets length wise and is driven off of the front of the motor. That 140 deck is 41 inch deck. They counted the width from end of blade tip to blade tip. If you want a wider deck, one off of the newer hydros will fit. 300-317. Your only difficulty will be getting the right drive belt. They use three different ones and it depends on the deck and model of tractor which one you need. Might need to just take all three and set the adjusting knob in the middle and see which one is the correct tension. Then just return the unused ones. Then KEEP the paper sleeve. I stapled mine to the shop wall so it does not get lost.
