Last Friday was the Lions tractor show at the Gerry Morgan farm and Saturday was the tractor ride. Lots of tractors and a good meal Friday evening, about 450 meals served. Saturday the ride started from Gerry's place at River Junction, Ia and went thru Riverside to Kalona. In Kalona we drove thru the nursing home and then downtown for a break and ice cream bars. From Kalona we drove to Ainsworth for dinner and rest and then back to Riverside. One of the regulars on the ride passed away and his funeral was Saturday morning and the family asked for us to drive by the fire station as a tribute to him. After driving by the fire station, we stopped and had ice cream and then drove back to Gerry's farm. He had lots of prizes to be drawn for. Well organized ride, people on every corner directing traffic. When we stopped for lunch, I spotted the 2 old ladies directing traffic and asked if I could take their picture. They said I had to be in it with them, and then before Gerry took the picture, he said, show me some leg, so we did. Gerry said they had 175 tractors on the ride. Great day, good time, If you weren't there, you missed out on a good time. Chris
