Had a 2840 that had hyds sometimes and sometimes it had NONE, especially steering when you kinda needed it the most....there is a screen in one of the plugs of the hyd pump. Keeping that clean seemed to minimize my hyds completely stopping. 20 years ago, dont remamber precisely where it is located now, seems like bottom of hyd pump. Not brand bashing but that was the most headache I have ever owned in the shape of a tractor.
