Have you talked to your ISP at all about these problems. We recently got wireless service . Transmitter is less than a mile away not that that should make a difference though. We were having all sorts of problems with it. Both times it was the transmitter. The last time it went out we called them and they said nobody else was having trouble but eventually they figured out that their transmitter got enough of some lightning to mess things up. Nothing seroius but they fixed it and replaced everyones powersupply and radio. Has worked flawlessly for a month and we"ve had it for about 2.5. The other thing that helps is to unplug the power supply and restart the computer. Don"t do it to often and ask your ISP before you try this. If you"ve called your ISP and they won"t help I guess I would listen to whatever these guys say. Luckily for me I"ve never had to put up with Satellite and hopefully I"ll never have to.
