my buddy has had this tractor to the shop several times for overheating. they have replaced head gasket, planed the head, cleaned the radiator, new thermostat, checked coolant flow and everything seems to be ok. idling or light to medium duty loader work and it doesnt heat up. put a bush hog on it and 15 minutes or so she is boiling over. somebody told him the 254 with the 3 cly mitsubishi diesel was prone to this problem. i ran it yesterday for a couple hours using the loader and it was fine. put my woods rm 600 finish mower on it and in about 20 minutes, it boiled over.
