The St Lawrence River through Ontario and Quebec is riddled with old Appalachian fault lines. Lake Ontario and Erie as well. There is another fault line through Niagara Falls/Hamilton/Ancaster etc part way up the Bruce Peninsula. That one rumbled a bit in the late 90's and shook Toronto.I thought it was a heavy truck outside pounding over some potholes.
