I am not much of a help on Vermeer but your problem sound like what a JD baler monitor would do if it was not calibrated to the baler. If the belts are not the correct length it will cause the monitor to be wrong as well. The sensor should be able to be adjusted. Need to look close at your Owners manual. I bet it tells you how to set the monitor.
