I'll tell you where NOT to go. Pigeon Forge Tennessee. The only way you'd ever get me back there is shoot me and drag my corpse back. Gatlinburg is nice,so is Cherokee N.C. It's a beautiful drive over the mountains between them. I'd like to go back and go to Grandfather Mountain and see that area,I hear that's nice,along with Maggie Valley. If you want to know what Pigeon Forge is like though,go to the nearest big city and drive the outlying road that has all the motels and fast food joints on it. Around here that would be 28th Street in Grand Rapids. That's ALL that h*ll hole is. A place to eat and sleep if you're going to Dollywood or Gatlinburg. The traffic is totally unlike anything you've ever seen. We came in from Chatanooga. When we got to the light at the main drag at noon,our hotel was 3 lights up. We got to the hotel at 4:15!!!! I made the mistake of complaining to a local. He said "HOW DO YOU THINK WE FEEL,WE HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT!!!!!"
