What I don't understand is, if you buy your own parts- filters- why not do it yourself? This reminds me of 40 years ago when I got a oil change and grease job at a service station- that also had gas pumps. Only one guy was on duty and he kept running out to pump gas (that was common back then). I did most of it myself but got charged for labor. Started doing my own routine maintenance. It's easy to put a sheet of cardboard down to slide under on, remove the drainplug (without using ramps). Have never had any problems from doing it myself, have/had some high mileage vehicles. When you do it yourself you know how careful you are, not trusting someone who may not care about dirt.
