I think the IH 966 - 1066 would be a good choice, you could pull a pretty good disk, cultivator, and any planter. Then again, 2 tractors would be better, maybe a Case 430-530, MF 135, Ford 2-4000 for a smaller tractor with 3 pt. I would stay away from John Deere. They are good tractors, almost everyone has one, but according to the classifieds they are all rare, lol! Comes down to your budget and what dealership is close.
