Just right off the cuff I'd say a 1070 or 2090 Case, 966/986 IH or, or TW 5/10 Ford. I understand you are looking for general input but there is still a lot of variability as to location and what you plan to pull. I say this because the term 'dryland' tells me western, or at least west of here US. I'd never dream of needing a 100 hp to farm 160 acres in this part of the country. With 700 acres here and two operators 86 hp has been way more than enough until this year when I lost my dad, and half my workforce. As I needed to add some bigger equipment to compensate I've realized I dont have the hp capacity to spare so I'm adding one 108 hp unit to the mix. With 160 acres I'd be very content with a 76/7700 Ford, 666 thru 886 IH, or a 2955 JD.
