Nazry,not sure of your question but assume you mean PTO's on tractors.Not sure when the first tractor appeared with a PTO,probably a lot of claims on that one.In 1927 the ASAE adopted the first standard for PTO's,the size and length of shaft were specified and the speed was set at 535 RPM.Direction of rotation was also specified,prior to then they turned both ways.Dont know when the current 540-1000 standard was introduced, if it comes to me, will get back to you.My suggestion would be to bring up ASAE on a search engine and hunt there,probably a lot of good stuff on the subject.
