I know what you are going through. I take it you know your way around this tractor and have had it a while. Do you hear a "click" or "clunk" when you turn the key to start? That main ground switch back of the seat RH side has given me problems. That black relay box between the batterys is another source of problems. If you have good batterys and good connections there, I would guess the problem lies with the ground switch (move it back and forth while turning key) or the relay. The shift lever must be in high range or low to start, but you probably know that. This is not the "hi/low" in front of the seat. Brian (MN)
