I was born in Bath, lived in Franklinville (Cattaraugus)for a few years when I was little, back to Steuben (Wallace- Avoca) until 17, my gramps owned the IH dealership in Cohocton, had a trucking and lime spreading service, and several farms. Kidney beans, wheat, oats, and hay mostly, and we sold coal in the winter. Had a pair of M's and a TD6 for a while, along with a bunch of loaders for the lime piles, a Fordson Major Diesel, 8N, 340 Utility, TO-20, etc. Bought the first demonstrator 706D that came through, and our potato-farm neighbor bought the 806D, right after the field day and plowing demo where they made the green machines look sad- they had a 5 on the 706, 6 on the 806, and brought in a 4100 with 8 bottoms, one tractor behind the other, made the greenies look pretty pale when they blew across the field in formation
