Nice pics jim. My grandfather served in WWII. 1st LT, 123 Reg. 33rd div. 6th Us army. One of the few of his company to survive the war. His company was left to hold a hill in the Phillipines one night. They fought off countless banzi attacks and hours of hand to hand combat. When daylight came they held the hill but only a handfull were left standing. He left many friends behind as they fought their way through the rest of the pacific theater. As kid growing up I was always at the memorial day services here in Farmington. He was in charge of the American Legion color guard and he took the job very serious. He knew memorial day was about the friends he left behind half way around the world. He never forgot and neither should we. bill
