BEFORE the census papers were mailed out, we had a lady come to our door and tell us about the upcoming census. She knocked loudly on the door until my wife opened it. A couple days later, another lady loudly knocked until my wife opened the door, again to tell us about the upcoming census. Our papers never arrived and my wife called in to tell them that we need the papers. About a month later, our papers arrived and my wife filled them out and sent them back. We were relieved that this was all over. Until another lady came out to say that we had to verbally fill in the census because we never sent in our papers. Good grief.
