Well sounds kinda like the tractor I bought a year ago. 2-3" of mud and without oil in bottom it set up like joint compound. What I ended up doing and I don't know if you have use of equipment and material or not. You'll need a good mask and filters, goggles plus I used face shield, an eye is a terrible thing to waste. Using an air compressor and blow gun with a cemical syphon tube a couple gallons of parts cleaning fluid in a 5 gallon bucket. Place bucket under drian plug and put sypon tube in bucket and air set for 40 -50 PSI power washer it clean. Best to do in garage with all doors or windows open or outside. Good luck
