Two years ago I punched a similar hole in the radiator of my Case 1845 skidsteer. Did not have time to take it off. I took a bunch of JB weld and layered it in the hole or slice. It has run every day since. I agree the best way would be to patch it right. Also, for years I did my own radiator recores and patches. I think the reason I am not patching mine yet is just to see how much longer it will hold
