When I used to take my bush hog on a long road trip to get to the field, my old faithful farm dog Freckles would hop up on the hog for a bit, but she scared easily and the first bump she would disembark thankfully off the side or rear.
That same old faithful would walk the hay field up n down up n down when I raked but finally tired enough (she was 14) to figure out it was easier to just lay there since I returned every few minutes
