I hate to break it to them but it ain't the licensed firearms that are used in crime...........It's worse here in Canada with the federal long gun registry. What a farce.....all it did was make it much more difficult for an honest hunting/farming individual to buy or even possess a gun. And cost us taxpayers a LOT of unnecessary money. :x Hand guns? Fugettaboutit! You have to notify the police every time you so much as transport a handgun!
Biggest problem is people who live in big cities where there is a lot of crime who figure that because guns are used by criminals that all guns are bad and there is no need for them. Cities have the largest population therefore the most pull. It's like saying that cars are used in bank robberies so lets get rid of all cars........ridiculous!
