Is it better to replace the 6 volt coil with 12, or use the resistor that comes with the kit and use the old 6 volt coil? Does that resistor get hot, I mean capable if igniting things hot? It sure looks like it's meant to handle heat. Is energy wasted with that resistor, that would be used in making a spark if a 12 volt coil were used????
