Look on the internet for a product called "kwik poly" its a 2 part epoxy like product. Thin as water but thickens when dry. just take your tank off and pour in solution and shake tank around. it will adhere to the rust and form a shell on the inside. I tried the nuts and bolts and it was a pain plus i had pinholes showing up. tried this product and have not had a problem no for 4 years on a massey 410. Work good so i tried it on my riding mowers and lawn tractor. a lot cheaper also than the tank liners like red coat.
