Lived on a place in MO before I came over here that had 2 springfed ponds that were clear as a bell. Could see everything in them to the point that while fishing, you could pull the bait away from smaller fish. Some big bass in there also and bigger snapping turtles. Was going to get the turtles out one day and me and a buddy had nets and chestwaders cause the water was so shallow. Was a turtle at the edge and started to swim away so I just stepped in the water to get closer.
Note to self: check the depth with a stick. Ever seen a turtle laugh?????
Over the chestwaders and about chin deep in 50 degree water made a believer out of me about folks drowning in waders. I was bottoms up real quick and real glad my buddy could quit laughing long enough to reach me his net.
While visiting the States last year I saw someone mowing a steep hillside with a riding mower that had the tractor portion uprite and the mower deck slanted somehow. wish I could have stopped to see how it worked.
