My grandfather left home one day early in 1952 he was gone a couple days (200 mi to Memphis TNn.) When he came back he had the unit you describe. Had been powering a sawmill with two G JOHN DEERS tied to one common shaft. After a day of puting the big MM unit up on a crib of crosties when they fired it up mill would just run thru logs with no let up. People drove for miles to see the MM powred sawmill. This engine was fuled with propane which was also very rare at time in rural Tennessee. You cold run the unit 200 hrs and the engine oil would still be clean looking. Best I remember the mill was still runing on that MM unit when I left for the army in 64 have no idea how many hours it ran.
