originaly car trailer-- that means good for a 6000 pound load probably. Price is right for general utility purposes as is around neighborhood-- but as others noted if you"re going to be hauling tractors on highway you"ll have some work to do. Lot of car haulers are built lower to the ground for ease of loading, have -as this one- somewhat marginal frame rails. My "heavy" trailer is built on a old mobile home frame with heavier I beam frame, 2 5/16 hitch coupler- is plain flatbed over wheels so is fairly high off ground. Has a car on it now waiting for shop space but did haul some stumps to city recycling center -7800 pound load with minimal problems from bad loading job by tree cutter. Have about $400.00/$500.00 in it, frame with axles, wheels was $105.00 from salvage yard, another $100.00 for angle iron, another $100.00 for planking-tongue and groove salvaged oak barn floor. 19 foot bed with a 28 inch short beavertail.
