I had to file for VA death benefits for mom (through dads service), part of the process for enrolling in medicad...along with spending down every cent they have. But thats ok, the home is great to her.
The VA said they are swamped...baby boomers and all retiring, claiming benefits of some kind or another. I waited half a year to get the 90$/month mom will receive until death.
Might be the reason for the slow get-an-go of their offices.
