A friend of mine has a problem and I told him that you guys would surely come up with an answer. He has just picked up a nice '52 Hudson Hornet with an automatic "hydramatic" transmission. His manuals etc. give details on checking the fluid (while running, operating temperature, etc.) BUT all they say in the manuals is that it is checked at the location under the right front floorboards. We've been under the car and for the life of us we cannot figure out how to check it or even find a location where it should be checked. There doesn't appear to be any kind of a dipstick anywhere (at least that we can find). Anybody out there that might be able to steer us in the right direction? We're at a dead end!!! Oh, and I know this isn't a tractor question but really, the '52 Hudson is sort of like an old tractor isn't it? Hope he doesn't read this post.
