Add emergency shut-down to a Lister?

Need to know how to add a auto-shut down to a Lister Gen set conversion. I can set up the shut down for low oil pressure but I need something for the cooling system. [Air cooled} I have been thinking along the lines of a belt idler that will shut off the voltage to the shutdown solenoid when the belt comes off. Another Idea is an air intake flapper valve that will shut off the air when the belt comes off. Any real good ideas? This gen set will be unattended for 24hrs at a time. Does anyone make such a beast? Thanks!
