I am very busy with planting now, but that's another story. About "reproduction" tractor parts, I believe it has been expressed many times here that a lot of them are low quality junk. I've seen people use the term "gyppo" parts, but I'm not sure what that means. Either they don't "look" original for people who care about that, or they don't perform/last as long as the original. Why did the original ignition switch on a Ford N last 30 years and the one you get today from New Holland lasts 2 or 3. I'm sure there are other examples: wheels, gas tanks, radiators, water pumps, sheet metal, exhaust parts, etc. In a nutshell, I would say "collectors" want parts to be original or look so damn close that you can't tell the difference. Us utilitarians (that's a Nomadian term) want something that fits, works and lasts, and if it looks good so much the better. If the exhaust manifold cracks or burns a hole in itself after a few years, or you have to file it to fit, then it's junk. Nomad seems to have associates in the repo parts business; if they can produce quality and get it to market at a fair price it will sell, but how much of a market is there?
