Sounds like you"re talking the planetary drive belts- major surgery. Like Bob says- not fun. Bought a 5 yr old 800 in "80, used it for many years, sold it 2-3 years ago, told the buyer that reverse was out on one side, sold him the "parts" swather, with good planetaries, in a package deal. Ran it for several years w/o reverse on one side, just planned the turns, etc. So, no, never did the switch, but it would be the same like changing belts, for the most part. Doable, yes, but lotsa time. But once in ? years!
